Version Control
This feature is available from the 2.5.3.0 version only if you are working with global configuration files and the user has write permissions to the appropriate share.
The SCCM Application Manager is beeing developed continuously. As a result, older versions of SCCM Application Manager may become incompatible with the current version, if internal data structures change. In such cases, it may be useful to prevent older versions of the SCCM Application Manager from running.
To enable version control start Tools -> Version Control.
In the following dialog, the version control can be activated. You must also specify the version range that is supported and the text message that is displayed when trying to start the SCCM Application Manager.
If the user starts the SCCM Application Manager, he or she gets the following message and the application is closed again:
