Global configuration

The SCCM Teleporter supports the use of a global configuration of the import settings.

Saved SCCM Teleporter import settings (*.tpis) are used as global configuration file.

See the  Transfer Site contents chapter for a detailed description of the available settings. These can be saved as tpis files and also used for the global configuration.

This variant offers the advantage that all users working with the SCCM Teleporter use the same settings and naming conventions. For this method to work, the above configuration file must first be made available on a server with an appropriate share (at least read permission). Afterwards an entry with the following syntax must be deposited in the comment field of the site concerned: SCCMTeleporter:\\myShare\mySCCMTeleporterSettings

If the corresponding entry is stored in the comment field of a location server, the settings are mandatory for this location server.

If a user has both read and write permissions on the share, the configuration settings are not mandatory and can be changed in the import dialog.
