Administration \ Setting up an installation
This section lists steps and user examples that frequently arise when managing or setting up installations.
Use Case:
Transfer the SCCM Manager configuration from one site (TEST) to another site (PROD) completely and with minimal effort.
Steps:
If the configuration is largely the same, copy the database from TEST to PROD. That is:
- Back up the installation directory and the database on TEST
- Export the database on PROD and import it on TEST
- Uninstall SCCM Manager on TEST and install the new version
- Review the configurations and adjust them if necessary; the main concern here is that there may be specific details
