Administration \ Setting up an installation

This section lists steps and user examples that frequently arise when managing or setting up installations.

Use Case:
Transfer the SCCM Manager configuration from one site (TEST) to another site (PROD) completely and with minimal effort.

Steps:
If the configuration is largely the same, copy the database from TEST to PROD. That is:

  1. Back up the installation directory and the database on TEST
  2. Export the database on PROD and import it on TEST
  3. Uninstall SCCM Manager on TEST and install the new version
  4. Review the configurations and adjust them if necessary; the main concern here is that there may be specific details
  5. somewhere that are only applicable to the TEST site:
    1. Configuration files  
    2. Plugin configurations
