System requirements
To use Intune Manager, the following system requirements must be met:
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
To use the Intune Manager and before carrying out the setup, activities must be carried out in Microsoft Entra ID in advance.
Note:
Please note that the AAD role: Global Administrator is required to set up "App Registrations" and coordinate the implementation with persons who have this role if necessary.
Windows Server
The following software requirements must be met for installation on a Windows server,
which are checked by the setup during installation.
The Intune Manager can be executed on a Config Manager server or a separate server.
The following recommendation applies for the setup: 2x vCPU, 8GB RAM.
When using SQL Server Express, it is not necessary to split the system across several disks or volumes.
The use of SQL instances or SQL clusters for the "IntuneManager" database is possible.
- Windows Server with IIS and SSL certificate
- Windows Feature ASP-NET 4.8
- ASP.NET Core Runtime Hosting Bundle Version 8
- .NET Desktop Runtime >= Version 6
- SQL Server (Express) from Version 2016
NOTE: At the time of installation, the temporary deactivation of the real-time search of "Endpoint Protection Systems" is recommended.
Other requirements and recommendations
It is recommended to set up a dedicated Windows service account for the operation of the Intune Manager.
This service account can be used to granularly control the required Config Manager and database authorizations and ensure separation from other processes.
