Site server connections

To be able to work with the SCCM Teleporter, a connection to the location server is required, please note:

  • The user must have sufficient permissions.
  • Authorization takes place via the role-based Microsoft® System Center Configuration Manager management model.
  • If the SCCM Teleporter is started on a site server, a connection is only possible without specifying user name and password via passthrough authentication, because local logins to a WMI namespace are not allowed (see error description WBEM_E_LOCAL_CREDENTIALS).
  • An IP address can also be used when specifying the location server, but name resolution to the site server is mandatory.
