Licensing
Licensing Model
SCCM Teleporter is provided as an annual subscription license.
The license is delivered as a file with the extension *.lic, and the file must be copied to the product’s installation directory.
License validation is performed entirely offline. An internet connection is not required.
Each installation requires a valid license file.
License Metrics
The license can be tied to the following characteristics:
- Config Manager Site Code(s)
- Active Directory Domain(s)
Notes:
- Multiple site codes can be configured within a single license.
- Multiple Active Directory domains can be specified within a single license.
When the product starts, it checks whether the license metric matches the current environment.
If there are discrepancies, a corresponding notification dialog appears.
License Validation
No separate activation is required.
The product automatically reads the license file at startup and checks:
- Validity
- Expiration date
- License metrics
License validation is performed locally.
No separate license log file is generated.
License issues are displayed exclusively via dialog messages when the product starts.
Procedure and Behavior When a License Expires
Every license has a fixed expiration date.
Behavior After Expiration
- The product becomes completely unusable once the license expires.
- There is no grace period.
- Once the license file is replaced with a valid license, the product is immediately ready for use again.
Obtaining a License or Demo License
A valid license will be sent to the contact person specified in the order after the order is placed.

To issue a license, the relevant license metrics, such as site code(s) and Active Directory domain(s), are required.
